The HR Director (HRD) directs human resources efforts to ensure performance and organizational excellence, adherence with all regulatory, compliance and legal human resources issues, and promote an environment of respect for all employees, patients and visitors.
Reporting to the Hospital CEO, the HR Director works closely with the Hospital's team to develop and implement effective human resource strategies and programs, including talent acquisition, organizational development, training, performance management and compensation.
Leads and executes on all recruitment, employee relations, and other related human resources functions.
Essential Job Functions:
o Partners with the Hospital's leadership team, ensures that the culture of the organization is following its mission, vision and values set forth by the organization.
o As a member of the Hospital Management team, the HRD leads all HR related activities to support and collaborate with organizational leaders o Leads the local HR team to ensure all HR processes and practices are aligned with the organization's standards.
The HRD oversees the talent acquisition process to includes building a recruitment strategy for sourcing, interviewing and hiring and onboarding processes of all employees, contracted staff and other hires as needed.
Ensure the recruiting strategies are up to date and remain flexible based on need.
o Collaborates with corporate partners to leverage resources, enhance communication and supports employees on all HR related topics o Develop, implement and execute on world class onboarding and retention strategies.
o Responsible for ensuring the organization complies with all Federal, State and local regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, OSHA, ADA, Joint Commission, DNV and CMS.
HRD mitigates risk that could result in hefty fines, legal ramifications, and reputation damage.
o Develops, implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
Ensures programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective.
The HRD develops benefit communications and counsel's employees on benefits related issues.
o Assists in managing the learning management system program and website.
Trains employees on how to use the web-based system, as well as troubleshoot any questions and/or problems from users.
o Oversees the coordination and administration of the annual performance evaluation processes o Partners with the leadership team to identify emerging leaders and facilitates leadership development programs.
o Manages the compensation function for the Hospital.
Plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices.
This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
o Partners with the finance team to ensure the organization's payroll functions are in compliance with government regulations, to include and not limited to FLSA, NRLB and other payroll practices.
o Facilitates and manages all employee relations on behalf of the company o Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, staff, and the facility and adhering to HIPAA policy.
Reports, in good faith, any known or suspected activity that appears to violate laws, rules, regulations or the Code of Conduct.
o Review policies, procedures and other organizational programs with a lens of continued process improvement to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness o Partners with the Hospital's legal counsel to ensure all HR related contracts are negotiated and comply with all regulatory standards.
o Oversees, manages, and develops the HR Team for career progression o Additional duties as assignedQualifications, Knowledge & Ability:
o Bachelors degree required and Masters degree preferred o 10 years' experience leading HR with a strong focus on partnerships supporting the leadership team, employee relations, talent acquisition and service delivery o Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification or SHRM Certified Profession (CP/SCP) preferred o 5 years of previous leadership experience required o Previous healthcare background highly desired o Requires continuing education, which is directly related to the job specification o Demonstrated HR knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field o Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize & organize o Knowledge of employee investigation protocol o Measuring and tracking Human Resources KPI's o Knowledge of State, Federal and healthcare accrediting body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
o Leads and participates in goal-setting and educational activities for his/her own professional advancement and that of others o Strong communication skills- written & verbal o Strong interpersonal skills and model professionalism o Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures, ensuring all are current and that leadership understands how to best utilize each.
o Demonstrated ability to problem solve; ability to understand and deal effectively with problems and opportunities o Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional, educational, and lifestyle backgrounds o Demonstrated ability to managing priorities/deadlines and be flexible with work assignments o Ability to partner with people effectively, patiently and respond professionally in all situations o Ability to understand the sensitive nature of HR and personal information and to maintain the highest of standards of confidentiality and respect of this information.
o Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team, and assume responsibility for timely completing of assigned functions o Exercises sound judgement, seeking advice when appropriate o Skilled in relationship management across multiple, diverse stakeholders o Must have strong computer skills that are required to perform essential job-related duties.
Familiar with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) o Strong computer knowledge using HRIS system (ADP and Ultimate Software/UKG a plus)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
